The video shows 2 men getting out of the 1 vehicle, while the driver of the 2nd vehicle does the same.

The driver of the 2nd vehicle then raises his arms and it becomes clear that the 2 men are armed.

Fortunately, the victim doesn’t resist and escaped unscathed and with his vehicle intact.

Briefly.co.za sensed the level of frustration as social media users expressed their concerns.

Theresa Gosling said, “Our government should be charged in front of the world criminal court.”
Morris N'delusy commented: “That why I hate Joburg cause there are lots of scumbag and hooligans. It’s so much better in Durban.”

Some even offered some radical solutions as they called for a return to the apartheid government.

Misbawu Kongorror said, “When can all these change in South Africa, I think the best solution is to bring back the apartheid government.”

Many social media users were bemused by the victim’s passive reaction but Justin Judson offered the below explanation.

Justin Judson said: “If he reversed then he would have had to potentially dodge bullets coming through the windscreen. Who knows, he may have kids, wife, mistress in the car and not prepared to take a potentially fatal risk. All good saying what he should have done, but he was the one in the situation and had to weigh up the risk in a split second under duress.”
