Daredevil in wheelchair holds onto trucks and cars in peak traffic

Briefly.co.za readers have seen some strange things in South Africa and the rest of the continent as we continue to share some of the most eye-opening and entertaining news.

However, Mzansi motorists have recently reported a sight that has never been seen before.

A Facebook video was shared which shows a wheelchair-bound man holding onto various vehicles as he makes his way through Johannesburg traffic.

The daring man is seen clinging onto the back of trucks, taxis and cars on some busy highways.

South Africa Live shared the video and it’s already been viewed 65 000 times since Thursday.

The man’s actions left Mzansi divided as some people were impressed, while others were highly critical.

Michael Farah said, “Now we know why he’s in a wheelchair.”

A number of South Africans saw the funny side.

Percy PG Gorejena said, “He must pay e-tolls also.”
Jay Haimbili added, “I like how he changes lanes, legend 45.”

However, some were left fuming by the daring display.

Deon Van Schalkwyk said, “A legend!??? sorry mam .... I call it a worst case of stupidity! Wait till he loses his.”
Dean Edwards added, “I think he is stupid. This isn't a lack of fear but lack of brains.”
Stephan Dronk Pastoor Nieuwenhuis said, “I will.stop and slap the crap out of him. What if you run him over then it’s your fault.”

Not everyone subscribed to the doom and gloom though.

Nkosingiphile Laduma Motha-Ngcobo said, “Unsung Hero, Living Legend, creativity of note. I honestly am very inspired.”
