Naomi Campbell, UK supermodel, businesswoman and philanthropist, brought positivity and glamour to this year’s Forbes Africa Leading Women Summit.
Naomi headlined the event and told attendees that she would be striving to change peoples’ perceptions of Africa.
The event was held at the International Convention Centre in Durban, Kwa-Zulu Natal and took place on the same day as International Women’s Day.

According to Forbes, Naomi travelled straight to the summit from Paris and couldn’t wait to be a part of the proceedings.
The world-famous cultural icon spoke of her support for the African continent and its important role in the world’s women moving forward.
“Africa means a lot to me, and right now I feel that it is a time where in my industry that this continent is recognized by the fashion industry in having their footprint here,” Naomi explained.
Kwazulu-Natal MEC for economic affairs, Sihle Zikalala, voiced how pleased he was with Naomi’s attendance and said that the UK superstar’s presence is an inspiration to young African women.
Briefly.co.za gathered that this is the second time that Naomi has been to Durban, her first visit being a trip during the 2010 world cup.
