Daredevil Italian cyclist makes SA want to say ‘My f*k, Marelize’

A video showing a man doing insane things on his bicycle on a very dangerous spot close to the ocean has gone viral. The video reminds Mzansi of another cyclist who isn't as graceful on a bicycle - Marelize.

A video of a man doing crazy tricks on his bicycle on a small space near a dangerous drop-off into the ocean has gone viral.

South Africans were amazed by the video because at first glance it looks like the man, Vittorio Brumotti, is doing his insane tricks in Cape Town's Chapman's Peak.

He's not - he is actually an Italian and was filmed on his bicycle in Liguria in north-west Italy.

Here's a link to the crazy video.

There's another reason why Mzansi likes the video so much. It reminds us of another video that was shared a while ago - one of a girl who isn't half as adept as Vittorio.

Ringing any bells? Marelize's attempt at mastering her bicycle on grass has enjoyed more than 300 000 views, and she's become quite an internet sensation.

Briefly.co.za reported earlier that Marelize Horn, the star of the video, is very accident prone in general.

She said, "My mum Heidi says: 'My fok, Marelize' to me almost every day! I fall off things, walk into things. It's insane how clumsy I am.”

Marelize admits the amazing reaction to the video caught her off-guard and it still feels like a dream at times. The viral craze has even resulted in the launch of a t-shirt with the famous catchphrase.

Both these videos are amusing and entertaining, but for very different reasons. While Vittorio amazes us with his amazing skills, Marelize makes us giggle because of her lack of skill.
