This week children surprised us with their amazing brains and spirits. One student ignored taunting adults to clean an area of litter and 2 grade 6 pupils invented a genius contraption. We learnt about the existence of a whites-only settlement and was informed by prophet Bushiri that God has no authority over the world while cops were forced to gun down a furious student.
A video has gone viral on social media that showed Mzansi the difference between those who wish to build the nation up and those who want to break it down.
It showed a student cleaning up litter while members of the EFF take the trash out of the bin and throw it on the ground again.
So who is the young man, braving the crowd of EFF protesters to relentlessly rectify the attempt to defile the campus?
Eckhard Binding is a student at the UFS, identified after coming forward late last night. He hails from Pretoria and serves on the AfriForum's Student Council.
His determination has been rewarded as South Africans line up to bless him with tokens of their appreciation. As the video gains traction, commentators are showering him with donations towards his studies.
Early in March, a video was widely shared on all social media platforms which showed a police officer gunning down a former learner.
According to The South African, the video was filmed at Mamehlake High School in Kwamhlanga, Mpumalanga. TimesLIVE added that the young man was a disgruntled ex-student at the high school and he wanted to confront the principal.
However, the school's headmaster failed to meet with him and it sent the former learner on a one-man rampage.
Students filmed the young man destroying school property and throwing bricks through windows. The police arrived on the scene, but before they could do anything, the young man turned his fury on them.
The unidentified youth threw bricks at the police van, breaking the passenger side window. The cops retreated, but the young man ran after them, continuing to hurl bricks at the van. At one point, one of the officers fell out of the van and the driving cop stopped to help his partner. The young man then approached them, throwing another brick. Briefly.co.za gathered that the cop pulled out his firearm and discharged three shots at the violent young man.
The footage sparked quite the reaction from social media users, who felt the cops did what they had to do to disarm the young man and protect themselves

Eureka is a new whites-only settlement, situated outside Garies in the Northern Cape. Adriaan Alettus Nieuwoudt is the founder of the movement and has dubbed himself the official co-coordinator of the Eureka Movement of South Africa.
The 'security town' has been described as a place where people can “securely retire, live and work with their own schools, shops and medical services in their own mother language (Afrikaans) and rural culture”.
According to IOL, Niewoudt explained that he had bought the land in 2016 and has pledged to donate a 1 000-square metre plot to each member of the 'uprooted' white race who registers with the movement: “This plot will stay reserved in your name till the end of days. Whether you use it or not, it remains your own place in the land of your birth and is transferable to your heirs. When you start building on the plot, you have to carry building costs, but until then we cost each other nothing.”

During a recent sermon, Prophet Shepherd Bushiri told his congregation that God does not have control of the world.
According to Major One, Genesis 1:28 states that God gave authority to Adam and Eve. However, when Adam disobeyed God, the devil received the power. "Adam disobeyed God and, because of that, he lost authority to the devil. The devil has since taken control," he preached.
The controversial pastor added through Christ's sacrifice, people were given back the authority to rule the world. However, he claimed the only way to unlock this power is through prayer - which the devil fears.
The old saying goes that necessity is the mother of invention. A prime example of this was when Jabulo Ndlovu and Vusi Musi struggled to complete their homework as a result of loadshedding. The 2 grade 6 learners, therefore, decided to invent a lighting bag, which could light up without electricity.
The pair showed off their brilliant invention at the Eskom Expo for young scientists. Briefly.co.za understands the event took place in September 2018 but the news was shared on Tuesday by Twitter user, @HeSouthAfrica, and went viral.
Fountain Five Primary School in Ratanda Township was beaming with pride as their 2 students showed off their brilliance.
