Outrage as a result of Pastor Lukau's ungodly home renovations

Pastor Alph Lukau can’t seem to stay out of the news of late.

The “resurrection pastor” has his neighbours fuming at his property in Morningside.

Residents of the affluent Sandton suburb have complained that Lukau’s “illegally built structures” are slowly chipping away at the character of Huntingdon Road.

TimesLIVE reported that the City of Johannesburg ordered Lukau to stop the renovations as he failed to get the necessary building approval.

Briefly.co.za understands that Lukau is in the process of converting his home into a multimillion rand guesthouse.

Frustrated neighbours claim that construction started 13 months ago and hasn’t stopped – despite the council’s demands.

The residents have written letters to lodge complaints and have noted that work often continues late into the night and over weekends.

One of the neighbours has also complained that Lukau’s men often use large generators, which results in his home being flooded with diesel fumes.

Lucia Smyth, Lukau’s attorney, has denied the allegations.
