Busiswa has taken to social media to share how she handled negative comments about her recent Ackerman's lingerie shoot. She encouraged women to rise above self-doubt and to not let body-shaming hold them back.
She took to her Instagram to talk about the comments she received after the photo shoot.
She said that even though most comments were positive, she did see a few negative comments.
"Truth is I never thought I would do something like that being plus-size and all. Well now it's done and I feel invincible. I'm emotionally stable now from all the body-shaming."
She told her followers that they needed to let go of what other people think of them, because that would hold them back.
"If I decided that I wasn't good enough, if I thought that I was scared to show my stretch marks and cellulite ... then I would have closed myself off from that opportunity."
Briefly.co.za previously reported that the musician has been doing her best to juggle her career and family. Taking to Instagram, she posted a few touching snaps of a moment she and her son shared before she had to leave for work. The muso has admitted that it is tough to leave him behind, however, she has become a bit more selective about the gigs she takes so she doesn’t have to be away from her son for too long.
