A 13-year-old learner has been taken into police custody in connection with the murder of a 28-year-old Limpopo man, Thoriso Themane. The parents of the teenager took him to Polokwane police station on Friday last week.
Although he was set to appear in the children’s court on Monday, his case has been postponed, Briefly.co.za discovered.

The 13-year-old lives in the area where the attack took place and attends a local agricultural school, Daily Sun reported.
The police have identified seven other suspects in the case who are still teenagers, one of whom is the son of a former SAPS officer.
Three other adult suspects have already appeared in the Magistrate's Court. The charges against one man, Russia Chabangu, were withdrawn, while the other two suspects, Chuene Maleka and Alfred Mothapo, were released on bail.
Briefly.co.za previously reported that a video that previously emerged on social media showed Themane being brutally beaten and dragged by a group of people. Thoriso succumbed to his injuries on the way to hospital, where he was certified dead on arrival.
After a second video emerged on social media showing a teenager allegedly admitting to killing a man, many South Africans believed school learners were involved, which has now been backed up by the arrest of the seven learners.
