South Africa is getting it's first Tsonga TV show. The drama, titled 'Giyani: Land of Blood', will star Yvonne Chaka Chaka.
The legendary singer said that it's 'about time' the country gets a Tsonga soapie. She told The Sowetan that she wants to raise the flag of the Tsonga people high.
The show is set in Limpopo's fictional village of Risinga in Giyani and follows the battle between two families for a piece of land.
Former Muvhango actor, Ndivhuwo Mutsila, musician Candy 'Tsa Mandebele' Mokwena, leading man, Fumani Shilubana, and Obed Baloyi are some of the actors cast in the show.

The new show is set to debut on SABC 2 next month at 9.30pm. Legendary musician, Thomas Chauke, composed the theme song for the show.
Briefly.co.za recently learnt that Yvonne Chaka Chaka had been taking on a few acting projects. She was recently in a low-budget movie called 'Jumbo Goes To Jozi'. Social media users made fun of the poorly-designed movie poster.
