The youth in Kagiso are one step closer to receiving a good education, thanks to a new school which has recently been opened in the area. Gauteng MEC for Education, Panyaza Lesufi, proudly announced that he was handing the school, Kagiso Senior Secondary, over to the public.
He added that the aim was to open a new school each week.
Kagiso residents were overjoyed about the progress that was being made in their community and had hope that the lives of the youth in the area would improve, opening up more opportunities..

Many users also encouraged the community to take care of the school and to make the most of the opportunity, and recalled memories of growing up in Kagiso but needing to travel to suburban areas and pay even more money just to get a decent education, Briefly.co.za found.
Social media users expressed their appreciation for the MEC and his work in the province.
Another user expressed his desire to take education in the country one step further than just building new schools. He said South Africans needed to broaden their mindsets and consider the multitude of ways in which we can improve the country, superseding the typical approaches or teaching methods used in the past.
