Eager to inspire fellow South Africans to make much-needed changes in improving their lives, the #AngaziWhoNeedsToHearThis thread was started on social media and soon went viral, with South Africans sharing humourous and important advice for whoever needed to hear it.
A medical doctor, Wisani Chauke, tweeted, “it's better To be single with standards than to be in a relationship busy settling for less than what you need or deserve”.
Many social media users shared this sentiment and others appreciated having their doubts about their relationships validated by a neutral third party. Dr Chauke’s wise words inspired Mzansi and many expressed their gratitude.

One user, Patricia Muruta Chabikuli, joked that Chauke was doing the Lord’s work even better than notorious Pastor Bushiri.
Another lady on Twitter humorously remarked that the doctor was in the wrong field and should have been a psychologist because he has valuable insight into interpersonal issues, Briefly.co.za found.
Busisiwe Ngwenya commented that some people seem to believe that being in a relationship is an achievement and thus stay with their partners even though they know that they aren’t well-suited to each other. Other users found that this applies to friendships too.
Mthokozisi M. Mpofana had a more cynical view on the subject and felt that people tended to prefer learning this lesson the hard way
