Kaizer Chiefs speak out after video of 'drunk' Khune goes viral

Kaizer Chiefs has commented on the video of their injured goalkeeper, Itumeleng Khune, behaving rowdily while out partying. The club says that they will conduct their own investigations into the incident.

Briefly.co.za reported on the now-viral video of what looked like an intoxicated Khune and friends at a shisa nyama in Soweto.

Khune is currently on the bench for Kaizer Chiefs after suffering a shoulder injury, but he's seen waving his arm around in the video.

Kaizer Chiefs spokesperson, Vina Maphosa, said that the club had nothing to say at the time they were asked for comment.

Speaking to TimesLIVE, Maphosa said that the matter would be scrutinised internally.

Many social media users were divided over the contents of the video. While others thought that Khune was putting the Amakhosi name into disrepute, others thought he was being judged too harshly.
