- A UK woman went on a first date with a man who later sent her a list of things she needed to improve about herself
- The man sent the list three months later and offered her a second shot
- The list included comments on her weight, appearance and sense of humour
For many single people, the dating scene is a jungle that seems almost impossible to navigate through. One woman shared an unpleasant story about a man she met online who contacted her months after the date to offer some ‘helpful’ suggestions on what she could have done better on the date.
Confused by the man’s audacity and unfounded self-confidence, Kimberly Latham-Hawkesford shared the messages on social media, hoping others could shed some light on his entitled behaviour, or perhaps find some humour in the situation, Briefly.co.za found.

According to Kimberly, the English woman went on a date with Luke James and says he didn’t bother to call or text her after the date. After brushing it off as just another unsuccessful date, she was surprised later when Luke decided to message her with his helpful suggestions.
In his message, Luke describes everything he felt went wrong on the date, and after his fifteen detailed suggestions, he added that he was willing to give her another shot.
Luke suggested that Kimberly should lose weight. He commended her on ordering a salad and added that the accompanying Coke wasn’t doing her figure any favours. Adding to his unwarranted comments on her body, he recommended she show more of her cleavage and wear clothes that suited her figure.
He also commented on her pale complexion and suggested she get a fake tan if she wasn’t fond of being in the sun.
Luke then validated social media users' suspicions that his ego was simply bruised after the date and expressed his fragile masculinity by saying:
“The fact that you take things slow makes you look like a prude. I didn’t get a kiss which messed with my ego. Be more sensitive to others’ feelings.”
He added that he was offended that Kimberly didn’t laugh at his jokes or compliment him and did not like that she offered to pay for dinner.
