Musician Ringo Madlingozi has been a strong supporter of the Economic Freedom Fighters for a long time now, but it came as a surprise that his name is actually on the party's Parliamentary list, at the 39th spot.
In most cases, celebs and politicians don't mix; however, there are those few who like to break the rules and combine celebrity and politics.
South African musician, Ringo Madlingozi, could soon become a parliamentarian as part of the Economic Freedom Fighters, depending on how the party performs during the elections in May.
A report by TimesLIVE claims that Ringo is quite high up on the EFF's Parliamentary list, settling in at the 39th spot.
The top spot is obviously claimed by Julius Malema, followed by Floyd Shivambu, the deputy-president and Dali Mpofu, the party's national chairperson.
It's no secret that Ringo has been supporting the EFF for the past few years, but few expected his name to actually show up on the party's parliamentary list.
Briefly.co.za reported earlier that the singer bailed on the ANC in favour of the EFF because he feels they are doing 'what's best for the people'.
