More than two thousand school learners attended a mass prayer on the grounds where Thorisho Themane was killed.
Earlier this week, videos were shared on social media which showed 2,300 pupils from Northern Academy High School in Polokwane, Limpopo, coming together to pray at Flora-Park Dam.
The mass prayer meeting was held on the day Themane's alleged killers made an appearance in court. Aside from Themane's inhumane murder, the location has gotten a reputation for being a hotspot amongst youngsters for bad activities.
The massive crowd of learners were led by several church leaders and Police Chaplain, Warrant Officer John Mokoena, in a prayer meeting organised by Turn to God Movement, the Daily Sun reported.
Chaplain Mokoena said: "We will be rolling this Programme in Polokwane and outside Town where we were alerted that there's ill discipline. We want parents to be part of this program because we want them to exercise their care further and know what their children do when they are not home." he said.
The news provider went on to share videos of the mass prayer on Twitter.

Meanwhile, Briefly.co.za previously reported that Themane's father opened up about his death in a heartbreaking interview.
The devastated dad recalled the last time he saw his son alive and how they found out they'll never see him again.
"I'm sorry for bringing you into this vicious world," he said to his deceased son.
