Comedian and social media star, Lasizwe, had to defend himself against claims that he stole someone else's concept. However, the person he allegedly stole an idea from stated that he asked her permission to use her content.
Lasizwe is a popular social media comedian and influencer, but he's been making news because of theft allegations.
His latest video upload was received with mixed reactions because many social media users complained that they had seen the same concept earlier, done by an upcoming Twitter 'skit maker' known as Waybeline.
TshisaLIVE reported that Lasizwe explained during an interview that Waybeline is actually part of his creative team.
"The worst part is, as it stands, I've asked her to be a part of my team so we can work together. So she's actually working with me and writing some of the concepts that people will see in the future."
Briefly.co.za gathered that Waybeline defended Lasizwe and made it clear on Twitter that she had given him permission to use her concept.
"Hey guys just to make things clear. @lasizwe did not steal content from me. He loved my video and asked to redo and I gave him permission and he credited me on it."

Lasizwe added that people can't say his skits aren't original just because other people have the same ideas - people go through the same things in life.
