After a video of Mmusi Maimane claiming 44 out of 10 South Africans were unemployed went viral, the DA leader shared yet another hilarious clip in which he corrects his mistake after partaking of some 'miracle water'.
On Thursday, Mmusi Maimane corrected his '44 out of 10' blunder in the most hilarious and ingenious way ever.
He bought some of Woolworths' 'powerful' water and filmed himself drinking it. The video starts out with Maimane repeating his mistake before taking a sip of the bottled water.
Maimane then goes on to say what he actually attempted to say the day his blunder was filmed.
"Ooh, 40% of our households don't have a single income coming into their house," he said, adding: "Four out of 10 adults in this country don't work."
Maimane added he's working to put a job in every home before ending his video with:
"Hai, this water, we must keep it going, we must keep it flowing, like water."
Briefly.co.za reported on Thursday that a video of the DA leader's blunder was shared on social media.
After Maimane passionately claimed that 44 out of ten South Africans were unemployed, South Africans on social media joked that he was was ‘pulling a Jacob Zuma’.
