A video that was filmed in February has surfaced on social media and it had Mzansi calling on police to take action.
On Thursday, Intelligence Bureau SA shared a video on Facbeook which was allegedly filmed at the funeral of a taxi driver.
According to the post, the incident took place on 9 February at the Dundee Cemetery:
"On the 9th of February 2019 at Dundee Cemetery in the funeral of a taxi driver! Once again people do not understand that this is not only illegal, but reckless and stupid as it puts everyone in the surrounding area in danger."
Social media users were left speechless by the unlawful behaviour of the funeral-goers. Briefly.co.za took a look at some of the reactions the footage gathered.
Vuyani James wrote: "Undercover cops must be present in such funerals so dat they can trace n arrest those involved in discharging firearms in public."
Shaun Matthew Tidbury commented, "And there you have the registration of the owner Range rover with the illegal automatic weapon. Please SAP investigate. You may not discharge a weapon in a public area."
Tracy Chiroro added: "This is the most ridiculous, irresponsible act I have witnessed from adults and people seem to be standing there very comfortable, I give up."
William Van Den Berg said: "Check the one with automatic rifle, not easy to get a licence for that, but we know, there is no control in Africa, South Africa is same."
