South African social media users were up in arms when Briefly.co.za reported on the stabbing of a 13-year-old child in a school in the North West. It's the second stabbing in a school in the province within the last two weeks, and the people of Mzansi had a lot to say.
Many believe that the problem with all the recent violence in school is because of bad parenting, or lack of any parenting at all.
Actress Ayanda Borotho shares the same sentiments. She took to social media to reflect on the recent violence in schools and blamed parents for raising their children poorly.
Others, like Facebook user, Tsholofelo Sebake Hlongwane, believe that prayer may be the answer, as it is evil spirits which are causing this bad behaviour in children.
Another Facebook user expressed fear, as a parent, to send her child to school now.
