From African to Afrikaans in seconds: Woolies water strikes again

A lady took part in the #WooliesWaterChallenge and some dubbed her video the best yet. The footage showed the lady, who has been identified as Tsholofelo Ditshego Mathibe, talking in her mother tongue before drinking some of the 'miracle water'.

After she drank some of the water, Mathibe talked Afrikaans like a real Afrikaans 'tannie' -she even had the Afrikaans accent down.

"Hmm, dis heerlik," she said, looking shocked at her new ability to speak Afrikaans like a boss.

The video had social media users in stitches, and some even dubbed her #WooliesWaterChallenge video the best yet.

Nicolise Madison Harding commented: "Dame, jy is tot dusver my gunsteling (Lady, you're my favourite this far) #woolieswaterchallenge ! Love the accent and the annunciation my dear! Gorgeous! Fantasties!"
Rushaan Edson-Chandley wrote: "Hilarious!!!! The best one yet!!!!!"
Joanne Petronela Dube added: "If only we had Woolies water before Afrikaans orals."

Earlier, Briefly.co.za reported Mmusi Maimane joined in on the Woolies water challenge, using at as a clever way to rectify his '44 out of 10' comment.

The DA leader repeated his incorrect statement before sipping on the water.

"Ooh, 40% of our households don't have a single income coming into their house," he the said, adding: "Four out of 10 adults in this country don't work."
