Fake pastors have been the talk of the town for weeks now, but recently South Africans showed their sense of humour with a hashtag that had social media users shooting straight about the things pastors say while also keeping it funny. Only in South Africa!
Faith in South Africa is a touchy subject at the moment as more people are speaking out about fake pastors and false prophets.
Many South Africans are tired of pastors using the name of God to coax money out of desperate people, and the country recently saw a rise in publicity focusing on 'fakes'.
Despite the seriousness of the matter, with that unique Mzansi sense of humour, people were able to poke fun at the issue, and #ThingsFakePastorSayToPeople was born.
Briefly.co.za noticed that the social media streets were flooded with tweets with this hashtag as people shared the things that they think fake pastors often say to people.
