South Africans were angered by the rumour of the alleged death of a patient because a receptionist was telling her to go away.
According to an account by a witness, the receptionist at Steve Biko Academic Hospital was rude and verbally abusive to a patient before she collapsed and died.
The story was shared on social media, and people quickly responded, sharing what they think of the alleged behaviour by the staff member.
A local musician shared a tweet to share the story, and his timeline was flooded with comments.
Julius Malema, leader of the EFF, also retweeted the post, so perhaps there will be even more awarness created.
Briefly.co.za noticed that a Facebook user also shared the same story in the hope of creating awareness.
