Eskom has announced stage 4 loadshedding for today, 17 March

Loadshedding has been implemented throughout Saturday night and stage 4 loadshedding is in the cards for Sunday, 17 March between 8 am and 11 pm. Eskom put the blame on a decline in water reserves that supplements power generation.

Eskom informed South Africa that stage 4 loadshedding will be implemented throughout the day during Sunday, 17 March.

The loadshedding is scheduled for between 8 am and 11 pm.

According to a report by EWN, the power utility says there was a decline in water reserves that goes towards supplementing generation capacity.

This comes after Eskom already warned that stage 4 loadshedding could be expected over the weekend.

Briefly.co.za reported on 16 March that the power utility announced that stage 2 load shedding would be underway but have since notified the public that the power utility has moved into higher stages.

Eskom is calling on customers to only switch on their geysers at night and to keep non-essential appliances off.
