Mandla Maphumulo, more commonly known as Mampintsha, was trending on social media over the weekend after a video of him being kicked out of Cubana Lounge surfaced. Mzansi social media users had a lot to say about the now-viral video.
The video, taken at Cubana in Pietermaritzburg on Saturday, shows Mampintsha trying to enter the venue while a group of men block him. They were shouting, "Khon'iyngane layndlini, Mampintsha," which loosely means "There are children in here, Mampintsha." This is the same line he said to Babes Wodumo after hitting her in the infamous video.
Many took to social media to applaud the patrons of CubanaLounge for standing up against women abuse.

However, it later emerged that Mampintsha did end up being granted access into the venue. According to TshisaLIVE, a staff member from Cubana said that the muso was not chased from the club, but some people did try to block him. Mampintsha was apparently allowed to make his way to a private lounge shortly after.
Briefly.co.za reported that the musician has since apologised for assaulting Babes Wodumo. He issued a lengthy statement and concluded that he would be seeking counselling to help manage his anger.
