Mzansi star, AKA, pulled off yet another successful gig, this time with the #OrchestraOnTheSquare show in Pretoria on Sunday, 17 March. Fans just loved it.
Renowned SA musician, AKA, made history on Sunday as the first SA hip-hop act to share a stage with a 30-piece orchestra.
Briefly.co.za reported that AKA has played an integral role in the South African hip-hop landscape over the past decade. He has been a standout musical act across all genres in SA and across the African continent for the last five years.
He took to social media early this morning to thank his fans and hinted that there could possibly be a another concert of this nature in the near future. He wrote: "Till the next one" on Twitter.
Social media fans loved the event and took to Twitter to express their joy about it. Some even called for the next show to be held in Durban, Cape Town or even The Dome in Johannesburg. Here are some of the comments.
Five days ago Briefly.co.za reported that the roast of AKA finally aired the previous night but AKA did not watch it.
The rapper said that he was, instead, in studio recording a song with Cape Town-based rapper, Youngsta. The Fela in Versace hit-maker took to social media to announce that a collab with Youngsta is underway. Fans were excited about the upcoming track.
The rapper, however, chose an interesting day to get into the studio with Youngsta because it was the same day his highly-anticipated roast was aired.
