It's never too late to celebrate with friends. Sonia Mbele and friends got together this weekend to celebrate Kgomotso Christopher's SAFTA win.

Nothing beats the feeling of friends celebrating an accomplishment. Which is what friends, Sonia Mbele, Asanda Tuoane and Sego Moeng did for Kgomotso Christopher this weekend.

Even though a little late, they dressed up and pitched up to celebrate Kgomotso Christopher's win at the South African Film and Television Awards recently. Kgomotso won the Best Actress in a TV soap award.

They looked simply gorgeous at the celebrations. All dolled up and having a great accomplishment to celebrate.

The South African actress, Kgomotso Christopher, won her first SAFTA award. Some might say, third time lucky, as this will be the third time she has been nominated. Best known for her roles as Nox Madondo starring in the drama series 4Play: Sex Tips for Girls and of course Katlego Sibeko, in the soapie Isidingo. learnt that it was an amazing moment for Kgomotso at the 13th annual SAFTAs ceremony which was held at Sun City recently.

Kgomotso was up against Nomzamo Mbatha and Dwan Thandeka and she walked away with the award for Best Actress in a TV Soap. It was her role in Scandal playing the vixen Yvonne that brought the trophy home for the 39-year-old actress.

Kgomotso also shared the pics on her Instagram account and wrote: "Life is so much more colourful with golden friends who celebrate your victories. Check out her post below.

It could have been a double celebration as well, as Kgomotso celebrates her birthday in two weeks time, but the actress made it very clear that the celebrations were for her SAFTA win. She is lucky to have such wonderful friends who truly and deeply care for her.

Kgomotso praised and thanked her friends for making the celebrations really special. She wrote: "I'm overwhelmed by all the love you've showered me with, my friends."
