SA Hip Hop Mag reported that Cash Money had a few hurdles lately, which included Lil Wayne's lawsuit and subsequent settlement with them and and Universal. This ended him the freedom to move his label. Cash Money cut out the middle man and chose to deal directly with Universal.

The only thing that has been revealed about the deal so far is that there will be a lot of money and music to be made.
