- Bhongolwethu Jayiya celebrates his 29th birthday today
- However, the Kaizer Chiefs striker has not seen much game time this year
- As a result, there is speculation that he may move to a different club
Today marks the 29th birthday of Kaizer Chiefs striker, Bhongolwethu Jayiya.
Jayiya signed with Soweto Giants in 2017 following a season with Cape Town City.
However, there are reports that Jayiya is unhappy with the amount of game time he has been receiving and that he may soon leave Kaizer Chiefs.
Jayiya has not had any first-league game time since Ernst Middendorp took over as the club's coach. His first appearance this season was in September against Supersport United.
Prior to that, Jayiya spent three matches on the bench, according to The South African.
However, Jayiya has previously expressed optimism that he would soon put in a better performance, saying, "At the end of the day, it is all about building confidence. As time goes by I will get better."
It remains to be seen whether the next year for Jayiya will see him remaining with Chiefs, or perhaps seeking to make his mark elsewhere.
