A petition to bring back actress Moshidi Motshegwa back to The River is gaining momentum as fans believe the show is incomplete without her.
According to TshisaLive, after an alleged dispute with management, actress Moshidi Motshegwa announced that her contract with The River had not been renewed a month ago.
A concerned and loyal fan, Thanduxolo Mantakana, started a Change.org petition which gathered 370 signatures, with more than half of the number coming in the last week alone.
She claimed that none of them are interested in the behind-the-scene politics. They believe Moshidi is a great actress and her character Malefu was too centered in the soapie to be written off so suddenly.
However, fans were distracted from their crusade for a moment on Tuesday when Brenda Ngxoli's character on the show, Dambisa, got into a fight with Zweli. Fans claimed that Brenda's performance was worthy of an Oscar. Check out some of the tweets below.
