Zakes Bantwini really expressed sadness about how he saw a friend of him post a message asking to be evil, because it seems only people with wicked hearts are successful in life.
The post read:
"Can you guys direct me to a tuckshop which sells inhliziyo embi (an ugly heart) because I want to buy it so I can also be successful."
Zakes was upset by how the world has gotten the idea of success so confused.
He said that he believes we're all chasing success, we should not lose our good hearts in order to succeed. The music producer revealed that he lost friends because of chasing after money and fame. He believes that people have become too obsessed with this chase, that they disregard others and their feelings.
He also added that he is not a believer of the term; "It's not personal it's business." He said that it is personal because it affects him and his family.
Zakes concluded by saying that he would hate to lose good-hearted people, all in the name of money and success.
