Sasol donated R3.5m to the cyclone Idai victims in Mozambique

- Sasol has pledged to donate R3 556 975 towards victims of cyclone Idai that has ravaged Mozambique

- The aid is set to increase the relief and support of affected parties in Beira and Dondo

- Sasol has been working in partnership with Instituto Nacional de Calamidades (INGC) and Red Cross Mozambique to assist those in need

Cyclone Idai has been wreaking destruction through Mozambique, with many families affected.

The victims have now received a welcome financial boost from Sasol to the tune of R3 556 975.

The cash injection is intended to provide relief and support for those affected in the Beira and Dondo regions.

Briefly.co.za also understands that support is to be provided to victims in Inhambane province as well.

Sasol has been working in unison with Instituto Nacional de Calamidades (INGC) and Red Cross Mozambique to provide assistance for those in need.

IOL reported on the statement issued by Sasol Country Director for Mozambique, Ovidio Rodolfo.

Rodolfo said, "We hope our contribution and the efforts of our partners will bring some relief to families affected by this terrible event."
