Meanwhile, Daily Mail reports that Salah embarked on the break to recover ahead of the business end of the season.

The former Chelsea and Roma star posted a picture of himself at the beach with the popular Liverpool slogan, 'You Will Never Walk Alone', spelled out behind him.

The forward will be hoping to return to scoring when the league resumes later this month, having gone about seven games without a goal.

Despite his failure to find the back of the net in the last few games, his manager, Jurgen Klopp ,has backed the forward to rediscover his goal-scoring form, adding that Sadio Mane could provide inspiration.

Salah scored 44 times in his maiden season at Anfield and although he has 20 in the current campaign, his current goalless run is the longest he has experienced since a 10-game streak for Roma in 2015-/6.

Having seen Mane work hard to put things right, Klopp believes that Salah, who is not playing badly, will see his luck change soon.

Klopp said on the the club's website:

"Sadio played pretty much always like this but now he is always in the right spot in the right moment. In football it's sometimes like this.
"He is in a really good moment, of course. The only thing he did when he was not always in the right spot was work and work and work.
"That's exactly what Mo has to do, exactly the same: just work, do the right things and it will come again.
"He's just rather unlucky, where Sadio is lucky in the moment - he is in brilliant shape, that's true."

"But then, he is in the right shape and maybe a yard away from him is Mo, but somebody else scored. That's how it is, all good." earlier reported that Liverpool forward, Mohamed Salah has been named Sky Sports' standout Premier League superstar of the outgoing year, 2018.

The 26-year-old has been impressive for the Reds since joining them in the summer of 2017 from Italian League side AS Roma.

He scored 32 goals and got 10 assists in his debut season for Jurgen Klopp's side in his first - winning the PFA and FWA Player of the Year awards.
