Once again Bonang Matheba laughed off a comment from someone on social media. The person questioned Queen B's 'black excellence', but she didn't get mad or nasty, she just shrugged it off and had a laugh. Way to set an example!
Despite the launch of Bonang's brand-new brut and brut rosé Méthode Cap Classique (MCC) sparkling wines (or 'champagnes') receiving lots of love, there was some hate as well.
There was a simple spelling error on the label, but Bonang laughed off the error and even made a witty joke.
Now her black excellence came into question when a social media user, @DjNewSouthAfric, said she won't celebrate Bonang.
Call me a hater but I won't celebrate Bonang's champagne as black excellence. I salute her money making skills but that's just that NOT black excellence.
Mzansi's Queen B showed that she's above petty online fights and merely laughed this off as well. She's setting a wonderful example on how to deal with hate.
Bonang's fans didn't consider themselves above responding to the hate and made it clear how they feel about the tweep's opinion.
@SIRVOKS - These "woke" people are tiring yaz.
@BonoloMogotsi - You are Black excellence. We are Black excellence, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise !!!
@peekaay85 - Yho, its like all she thinks about is Bonang and her new business venture .....so jealous...
@ivelile3 - I wonder what are you doing with your life wena ube uhoyene no @bonang_m #SalaFelafoo
@motlatsi_dee - This champagne is really stressing you ey
Briefly.co.za noticed that @DjNewSouthAfric feels Bonang's fans are blind loyalists who can't handle criticism.
After reading lots of hateful tweets from Bonang's blind loyalist fans. Have to say, as black people we can't handle criticism very well. No wonder it's very rare to find black companies on HelloPeter website. Ya'll are harsh to critics. Without criticism companies will NEVER grow.
