SA loses it over ‘coconut’ comedian’s brilliant TV interview

Lesego Thlabi, a local comedian and media personality, has divided Mzansi with her hilarious recent interview on eNCA.

Lesego was in full character as “Coconut Kelz” for the show and brought her unique South African brand of satire to TV screens across Mzansi.

The comedian made hilarious jabs at the state of SA with statements like:

“I only drink Woolworths strawberry sparkling water” and “Taps are for poor people”.

Coconut Kelz also commented on the recent racial scandal where Dianne Kohler Barnard was taken to SA’s Equality Court.

The only issue was that some social media users, after seeing a clip of the interview online, thought that Lesego genuinely holds these opinions.

However, after Mzansi realized that Coconut Kelz is a satirical character, the laughs came fast and hard.
