Ed Sheeran is officially a South African now after he surprised fans by putting on the Springbok jersey halfway through his concert at the FNB Stadium this past weekend.

The Shape of You hit-maker has been touring South Africa and is clearly enjoying our clothing - or maybe sports teams? He rocked the Springbok jersey to the delight of his audience on Saturday night.

He returned to the same stadium on Sunday night to deliver his third and final performance in Johannesburg.

It seems the artiste may just love all our sports teams because he was also spotted rocking a Proteas jersey at The Wanderers stadium for the final T20 between South Africa and Sri Lanka.

The show was a resounding success except for a few security issues involving concert-goers getting mugged outside the venue. The concert was not affected by load-shedding, as Briefly.co.za learned that Big Concerts uses their own independent power supply.
