AKA has become the first South African rapper to scoop the prestigious Nickelodeon Kids' Choice award in Los Angeles this past weekend.
The rapper dedicated the win to his daughter, Kairo, and his friend and fellow rapper, Kwesta, who got married over the weekend. He snatched the award from Nomzamo Mbatha, Somizi, Kagiso Rabada and Siya Kolisi, who were competing in the same category.
Ever since Supa Mega's nomination, Kairo has put a lot of effort to make sure that people voted for her dad. A cute video of her asking the nation to vote for her dad was circulated all over soical media. Unfortunately, the cute little girl couldn't make the trip due to visa issues, but she did send her favourite doll to stand in her place.
AKA recently celebrated another win when he announced that his hit sing Fela in Versace had gone multi-platinum. Briefly.co.za reported that the muso made the announcement at the end of his historical Orchestra On The Square show.
Meanwhile, social media users took to Twitter to congratulate Kairo and her dad.
