Rapper AKA was very sad to leave his princess, Kairo, behind in South Africa when he jetted off to LA for the 2019 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.

He was nominated for an award in the South African category and was super-excited about it, but not having Kairo with him was a bit of a mood-killer.

But he did his daughter proud and scooped up the prestigious Nickelodeon Kids' Choice award, and she's very happy about it. reported that AKA snatched the award from Nomzamo Mbatha, Somizi, Kagiso Rabada and Siya Kolisi, who were competing in the same category.

Kairo took to Instagram to thank all the fans who voted for her daddy, and told them: "Thank you for voting, you did it!"
