ANC spokesperson, Pule Mabe, who is currently on suspension, has opened a case of fraud against Kgoerano Kekana for misrepresenting qualifications on her CV. Kekana had previously accused Mabe of sexually harassing her while she had worked as his personal assistant.
Pule Mabe, suspended ANC spokesperson, has laid charges of fraud against his former personal assistant Kgoerano Kekana.
According to News24, Mabe claims Kekana misrepresented her academic qualifications on her CV when she applied for the position.
Briefly.co.za reported earlier that Kgoerano Kekana had accused Mabe of sexually harassing her while she had been working as his personal assistant. The ANC spokesman has in the meantime been cleared of the charges.
Mabe now claims that the new charges had served as a part of his defence during the internal ANC grievance hearing. He alleges that Kekana had been spiteful after he had revealed her qualifications as fraudulent and subsequently cut her salary.
Kekana, on the other hand, claims that the spokesman had forced himself into her bed twice and, after she refused his alleged advances, and that he had made her life miserable by cutting her salary and emotionally abusing her.
While the panel had ruled in favor of Mabe, stating that Kekana did not support her version of events with evidence, Kekana remains undeterred:
“My complaint lodged late last year to the ANC, is not about qualifications or the lack thereof. It is about Pule sexually harassing me and the criminal case I have laid against him. He is trying to divert my grievances with other issues. Pule is not my employer, the ANC is. His baseless side show does not scare me.”
