Reports have emerged that thousands of EFF supporters chanted Senzo Meyiwa's name when Kelly Khumalo took to the stage at an EFF rally in Durban yesterday. It is alleged that Kelly Khumalo walked off the stage afterwards.
The event took place at the Chatsworth Sports Stadium, south of Durban, where the party was holding its provincial manifesto launch.
After Kelly performed one song and was getting ready to perform another, the crowd began chanting Senzo's name. Khumalo immediately turned to the deejay and said, "One more and then I'm out of here." Other crowd members held up a 'Justice for Senzo' banner during her performance. She left the stage after her second song.
According to SowetanLIVE, Kelly's manager did not have a comment about the incident.
The event also included other performers like Kelly's sister, Zandie, L'Vovo and former member of Big Nuz, Danger.
Briefly.co.za recently reported that Kelly opened up about what happened in the house that fateful night that Senzo was killed.
Speaking in an interview on eNCA, she explained that the murder incident has been hard to forget, especially because people constantly remind her. She said that she didn't know what more people want from her as she has given her testimony to the police.
