Ed clearly wanted to immerse himself in our culture because he did thorough research on what the people of Mzansi love. Briefly.co.za reported that he put on a Springbok jersey halfway through his performance at the FNB Stadium on Saturday night and the crowd loved it.

The very next day, the muso popped by to watch the Proteas beat Sri Lanka, wearing a proudly Proteas shirt.

This is not the first time Ed Sheeran has shown a love for our culture. In 2010, the Perfect hit-maker took to social media to post a tweet live from a South African house party:

"I'm at a house party with a load of South Africans and it's 'p*es kiff' Yaah brah!"

Yikes! Which South Africans were you hanging out with, Ed?
