Loyiso Bala got dragged big-time after sending his brother, Phelo, a birthday message that many social media users felt was judgemental and mean.
Loyiso sent a tweet to Phelo, who turned 28, and soon the Twitter streets were buzzing with comments from people who didn't like what he had to say.
The singer tweeted, in part:
"As I said to him, "I'm in no position to judge you but to love you and to always point you to Christ. Your relationship with him will define your life’s purpose'."
This didn't sit right, and soon Loyiso was labelled homophobic.
Many tweeps felt that Loyiso was hiding his homophobia behind his religion, as reported on by TimesLIVE.
