Little girl, 5, uses toilet moments before spotting a spitting cobra

On 19 March at around 8:30pm, a mother spotted a snake in the toilet her five-year-old daughter had just used. A video of the snake in the loo has since been shared on social media and it gave South Africans chills.

Juliette Roos and her husband, Johan, were camping with their two children near the Nyati Sportschool in the North West when they came face-to-face with a spitting cobra.

On 19 March, Roos spotted the serpent in a toilet her daughter had used moments before, News24 reported.

Briefly.co.za gathered that a friend of her daughter's was also in the cubicle and she tried to keep them calm. Roos told the little girls to turn around and she called her husband.

Johan said he did not believe his wife at first, but he then saw the snake rearing his head again. He called one of his friends, who confirmed it was a spitting cobra.

The video of the snake has since been shared on social media and it gave South Africans the creeps.

Katiso Chauncy Nkoko commented: "Believe it or not, I opened this video while I was sitting on the toilet seat... I stood up without finishing my business."
Sashen Naidoo wrote: "This has always been one of my worst nightmares. I'm sure all straight men fear this sh*t."
Mandla Kunene added: "Watching this does not help me at all. I already check such before I use the toilet because of snakes on a plane. But this now."
Kirsty Hall said: "I would just lock that door, seal the keyhole and never open that toilet area again for two thousand years."
