Satellite TV or Bonang's champagne? Twitter users have huge debate

Bonang Matheba's new drink is causing many a wave across the country. South Africans recently debated what would be a better choice: Queen B's luxury sparkling wine, or a month's subscription of DStv.

Social media users had what they considered an important debate over how to spend R400.

Would it be better to support a local brand or pay for a month's subscription with DStv?

Bonang Matheba's Methode Cap Classique wine range, House of BNG, has been the talk of the town since its fabulous launch, and it's still a popular topic in Mzansi.

Twitter user, @Fairhope712, shared a snap of a bottle of Bonang's bubbly and a glass filled with the yummy-looking luxury drink and was proud to support a local brand.

However, it didn't take long for people to notice the aerial that was plugged into the tweep's TV, and a debate that could really last for ages took off.

Some tweeps thought that buying the drink rather than paying for a month's worth of DStv was a bad decision, while others argued that not everyone wants to use the satellite TV service.
