Earlier today, news reports suggested that radio and TV presenter, Zizo Tshwete, was axed due to the stringent measures that have been put in place at the SABC headquarters for anyone who has been under-performing.
Word on the street is that things are heating up at the SABC headquarters in Auckland Park. According to ZAlebs, the local radio stations was buzzing with radio personalities getting reshuffled to new times slots last week.
Worse is that some of the contracts have been terminated by management for not being satisfied with the particular talent they had been putting in since they had their contract renewed in the previous year.
Earlier today, reports claim that the axe fell on Mzansi's popular media personality, Zizo Tshwete's neck. Sunday World reported that the management decided not to renew Zizo's contract with Umhlobo Wenene and viewers will not see Zizo as the co-host alongside DJ Amaza from 1 April. It is believed one of the Masigoduke co hosts Reggie Solani was also axed and that he may move to TruFM.
After her exit on the Selimathunzi show, Zizo joined the Masigoduke team. But even though many peeps love and adore Zizo, some remain sceptical about her talents on radio. Here is a tweet from one of Sunday World's fans.
Zizo is lucky as she still has strong side hustles she can fall back on. She is still the brand ambassador for Garnier since 2011 and also serves as the projects and PR executive at Dandelion Breeze. When she's not performing on radio, she also slays with her voice-over gigs.
Meanwhile, Umhlobo Wenene is yet to release an official statement regarding the reshuffles. Well its just a few days until we find out on 1 April.
A month ago, Briefly.co.za reported that radio and TV presenter, Zizo Tshwete took to social media to thank the man who helped her realise her dreams. Selimathunzi was Zizo's big break, and 'Baby' Joe Correia was the man behind the popular TV series.
Taking to social media, Zizo told Correia just how much she loves him, and she wished him only the best in the future. Zizo got her shot at her dreams when she became famous after being part of Selimathunzi, and Baby Joe, as he is fondly called, was the mastermind behind the popular TV show.
