AKA owned the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards in Los Angeles this past weekend. He took the title of Favourite South African Star and decided that he deserves a treat for his win. So, he jetted off to Istanbul.

It’s no secret that AKA loves to travel at any chance that he gets. Mzansi’s Supa Mega is a total globe trotter.

Briefly.co.za saw that AKA has been spotted in the culture-rich city of Istanbul, Turkey, compliments of Turkish Airlines.

AKA took to social media with a post in partnership with Turkish Airlines in which he shared a few snaps of his trip, along with some details about his favourite airline, Turkish Airlines, and the stunning city of Istanbul.

Even though AKA is racking up the flyer miles, it doesn’t seem that he has the best travelling advice.

AKA prefers to travel on adrenaline. When asked how he prepares for a trip, this is what he said:

“Normally I get a haircut and throw all my clothes into a bag 30 minutes before I have to leave. Then I check if I have my passports and then make a run for it.”

Gym clothes, portable charger, Reebok sneakers, laptop, Rolex and an open mind are all that AKA needs to survive an international trip; oh, and a plug that works at the airport and in the country he is travelling to.

Aside from Istanbul, Japan is AKA’s favourite destination. He seems to like the culture-rich parts of the world.

Our Supa Mega has definitely formulated his own travel style, but it works for him and that is all that matters. On that note, a little wisdom straight from the travellers’ mouth: "If it’s too good to be true, it probably isn’t."
