Briefly.co.za asked our readers what the best age is to tie the knot and the results make for interesting reading.
It’s a question that most of us are faced with, but struggle to answer.
We asked our readers what the best age is to get married and we received a wide range of answers.
Some were slightly strange and some sounded very sensible, but we’ve shared some of the most memorable responses here.
Straight off the bat, some comments showed a clear reluctance to settle down.
Queen Xolsile said, “Never, I love my space, the thought of having someone twenty four seven would drive me crazzzzzy.”
Tandiwe Magazi said, “Any age I'll get married at 60yrs.”
Bongile T-o Magagasa added, “70 male female 45 finish and klaar.”
Briefly.co.za gathered that age is but a number to many of our readers.
Kenneth Kenneth said, “50 years after U might have made all the money on earth, yea U can get Ur self a beautiful 20years old.”
Humble Lebohang Waga Mapa added, “Any age is the right age as long as ur ready an up for it, even if u get married at age 60 its still ok.”
For some reason, 25 seems to be the age that many people gravitate towards.
Raymond Kilfoil said, “When you meet the right person, fall in love and decide you want to spend the rest of your life together...so anywhere from 25 onwards.”
Some readers strongly felt that people should set a cut-off age for marriage.
S Zoe Kabambi commented: “Don't comfort yourself by saying there is no such thing as the right age of marrying...The truth is you can't marry at 60, who will take care of your children at that age??? The right age is when you are matured in all aspects of life... that is physically, spiritually, emotionally and financially.”
