Nomzamo Mbatha was recently honoured by Face Africa with a Rising Star award at its 10th Annual WASH GALA in Manhattan, New York City.
The United Nations Face Africa is a non-profit organisation that helps improve the lives of people across Africa. The actress has been making headlines for doing progressive work and the awards she is receiving are well-deserved.
She told TshisaLIVE that her purpose is to serve and give back.
This award comes just weeks after Nomzamo was honoured with the Goddess Beauty Award at the International Women of Power Awards in Los Angeles. She said that award refers to more than physical beauty but rather the many facets of beauty like being smart and hardworking.
Briefly.co.za previously reported that Nomzamo was chosen as the UN Refugee Agency's goodwill ambassador. She has been working hard as an advocate for UNHCR’s LuQuLuQu campaign since 2017.
