After finding herself stranded on the road between Standerton and Heidelburg, social media user, Judite Pombo Baron was grateful for stranger, Jarius Khumalo, who she says was kind enough to stop and help her.
Judite says she was scared because of the high crime statistics but felt relieved when Jarius stopped to assist.
“So much could’ve gone wrong but because of Jairus the Good Samaritan, I am safely on my way home to be with my family! Jairus my hero thank you for stopping and helping a frantic woman!” she wrote.

Judite says she knows how to change a tyre but didn’t want to stand by herself along a the dangerous road.
“I do know how to change a tyre the road was just very dangerous with no space to move so I was on the road and that is why I panicked.”
South Africans on social media shared their appreciation that Jarius was able to help the young woman out.
Facebook user, Maureen Dunmore van Rensburg, wrote “Bravo Jairus! Your kindness just showed us all that there are such special folks out there with hearts of gold. God bless you!”
Rosien Keyser also expressed her pride and wrote “So proud to be part of this nation and its wonderful people. Blessed to be part of it. God bless Jairus and all the kind people.”
