South Africans were left divided over video of a man robbing a garage as the gas attendant was busy filling his car with petrol.
A video was shared social media on Thursday by South Africa Live which showed a man robbing a petrol station. Briefly.co.za could not determine when or where the video was filmed.
"This is golden! One with a twist! Some only take what they need," read the caption.
The video showed a man getting out of his BMW while the petrol attendant filled up his car. The man then goes into the convenience store where he pulls out a gun and orders the cashier to give him all the money.
The footage gathered over 106 000 views in less than 24 hours and South Africans were shocked and a bit amused by the video.
Khumo van der Ntloana commented: "Lol that's some desperately broke dude....not your usual criminal."
Prince Khumalo wrote: "At least he didn't just starts shooting and no one was killed, few of my friends has been killed in their shops by the senseless ones that go in and start shootings. He will surely be caught anyhow."
Butiza Butiza wrote: "Back in the days the black man was always the suspect, now we the same, black and white sharing the struggle."
