US director Jordan Peele: "I don’t see myself casting a white dude"

Hollywood director, Jordan Peele, has expressed his desire to make movies with the entire cast being black actors. The director said it's not that he doesn't like white people, but he wants to make movies with black leads.

The director behind the acclaimed thriller, Get Out, Jordan Peele, said he's not into using white lead actors.

Peele said that he has nothing against white people and that he is fortunate that if he wants to make a film with a black family, he can.

"I don’t see myself casting a white dude as the lead in my movie. Not that I don’t like white dudes, but I've seen that movie."

The director's movie projects are proving that horror films with black leads are profitable in Hollywood, as reported by Esquire.

"The way I look at it, I get to cast black people in my movies. I feel fortunate to be in this position where I can say to Universal (Studios), 'I want to make a $20 million horror movie with a black family.' And they say yes."

Briefly.co.za gathered that Peele's directorial debut film, Get Out, is considered a brutal and smart thriller, and has a black lead, Daniel Kaluuya.
